You are a woman who has been working hard for a what seems like forever. You stress over your family and kids, stress about your relationships and you have stress at work. You try really hard to make things better for all the people you care about but there doesn’t seem to be anyone noticing. You wonder if it is worth all your time and care when nobody seems to care about you and what you need. You can’t remember the last time you felt relaxed, felt appreciated, felt like yourself.
You’ve tried lots of things to make it different. You’ve talked, yelled, explained and asked for help. You’ve read books, been to classes, gone to the spa. Nothing seems to make a lasting difference.
It’s time to for you to get the support and counseling you have been wishing for.
My name is Ann Arnold and I have the tools and experience to help you get back to feeling like yourself again. My clients will often say that they leave sessions feeling much better than when they came, more grounded, more relaxed and feeling listened to and understood. Together we will help you get to a place of healing and confidence by talking, laughing, doing some art (if you want to try it), sharing feelings and looking for new ways to take on old problems. Many of the tools I offer will start helping you in the very first week.
I have been a therapist for over 20 years and have seen people from many backgrounds and many concerns. I work with women who are stressed out, grieving, depressed or anxious and I help them find joy in their life. I also have a passion for people in the adoption world. I have worked with adoptive parents, birth parents and child and adult adoptees, helping them all navigate that unique journey. It is not always understood by family and friends and it’s hard to explain the experience without having been there.
I have a Master’s degree from Notre Dame de Namur and am a member of the California Association of Marriage Family Therapists. I am also a Certified Supervisor and have mentored dozens of beginning therapists into this field of healing.

What do you like about being a therapist?
It is such a gift and honor to walk with people through their pain and struggles, to see them grow and find new ways of being in their relationships. I love the connection I have with my clients and being with them during some difficult times. This work is my vocation, my passion and I am grateful to have this calling.
What is the best advice you have been given?
Pay attention to the details because in people’s lives details are important.
